BIO // STEVEN GARCIA
Steven joined SHoP Architects in June of 2010.
Since 2009, Steven has taught digital media seminars at Columbia University GSAPP + the University of Pennsylvania School of Design and assisted with design studios at Columbia University GSAPP. Steven has also served as a guest design critic at Columbia University GSAPP in the M.ARCH, AAD, + Intro to Architecture programs, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, and at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture.
Steven collaborated with Kate Orff + SCAPE PLLC for the Rising Currents P.S.1+MoMA Workshop, exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York City, 24 March to 11 October 2010.
Steven has collaborated on local + international exhibition design + fabrication with KBAS, Philadelphia, and Faiscas.org, New York + Rio de Janeiro, and has served as a research associate of the Urban Landscape Lab, New York City, coordinating digital fabrication + audio integration for the Safari 7 Reading Room + BaseCamp exhibits.
Steven launched thedisContinuum in 2009.
