BIO // BIAYNA BOGOSIAN

Biayna Bogosian holds a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University (2010) and a Bachelor of Architecture_Honors from Woodbury University (2008).

Biayna's design focus is in the negotiation between the immaterial complexity of computation and material efficiency of fabrication. By transcoding between these two opposing tendencies, she is interested in expanding the design-space and creating an architecture capable of responding to its environment and being referenced by its surrounding elements.

Biayna's work in coding has been featured at processing.org and exhibited internationally as part of the Machinic Processes installation, Architecture Biennial Beijing (October 2010). She also has lectured at the 2010 ACSA Annual Meeting and the USC School of Architecture.

Biayna has collaborated with numerous offices in Los Angeles and New York. Currently, she is in charge of projects at Mike Jacobs Architecture that explore the relationship of computation and fabrication in different scales and social contents.
