This weekend we'll hold our first AC2011 help session, Sunday the 13th from 2PM to 6PM in Avery 300. This is a voluntary session to review progress on group research projects; interested teams should sign up for a 20 minute slot during the alloted time. Teams should bring working files on a laptop if possible and be prepared in advanced so we can remain on schedule. Look for the AC2011 signup by the 6th floor elevator tomorrow after noon.

Site profiles have been established for each registered AC2011 student, giving access to site forums and the course guestbook. As a first step, each team should designate one member to login to the guestbook and create a post with the team name and team members' names. Additionally, each team should now post sketches + diagrams of workflow research proposed in Operation #0 to the course dropbox. All scanned/posted images should be 480x320 pixels at 72dpi (Photoshop will allow you to quickly convert file sizes), and all files should use the following naming convention: teamname_operation0_imgX.extension. JPEG or PNG formats are preferred. Files should be uploaded Monday and will be posted to the student gallery before Thursday's class.

This Thursday (week02) lecture will begin with an overview of scalar, curve, surface, and transformation components. Following lecture topics, each group should be prepared to briefly review proposed research options from Operation #0 with Biayna + Kristen. To aid the discussion, groups should have appropriate diagrams and concept sketches of your proposals on hand at class. Each group is expected to have outlines of multiple arguments this session. Over the weekend, groups will be expected to narrow and refine topics based on input Thursday, and to post sketches/diagrams to the course dropbox for the student gallery.
